Once you have chosen your Best Domestic Worker, we will send you our placement contract to fill and well as the placement fee payment details.
Domestic Hiring Process
- Please read and complete our online placement contract
- Process the placement fee payment and send us the proof of payment
- We will confirm the appointment with your new Helper then release her full profile (ID copy, criminal record report, personal & background check info)
- We will monitor the first day she is scheduled to report to work
- Ongoing Support will begin once your Helper reports to work
When hiring with Smart Helpers Center (SHC), employers have the choice to hire under the “Smart Compliance” or the “Placement ONLY” packages. Regardless of the hiring package selected, employers get access to the SHC’s standard benefits then depending the selected package, they can get additional benefits.
Standard SHC Hiring Benefits
- 1 Helper hiring assistance (contract, induction advice)
- 1 Helper hiring (ID copy, all contact details and other info about the helper will be supplied)
- 1 Free exchange of Smart Helper within 90 days of hiring
- Ongoing support during the first 90 days of hiring, also considered a “probation” or “trial” period
- Applicable discounts at your next service with us (e.g. we also provide Emergency/Transit/Temporary Helpers when yours is unavailable)
Hiring Under the “Smart Compliance” Package
Smart Compliance : Domestic Services Placement with Month to Month management with the following benefits:
- SHC Standard Placement benefits
- Discounted placement fee
- Formal Appointment: BCEA compliant Contract & Payslips
- Legal Compliance: UIF & COIDA compliance
- HR Management: Leave, disputes and corrective action management, CCMA advisory
- Helper Benefits: SHC standard Funeral/Life Insurance cover
- Employer Benefits: 4 Replacements per year & Unlimited Stand-in Helpers when your Helper is on leave at NO placement fee cost
