Our mission is to revolutionize the support systems available to both Helpers and Employers by formalizing Helpers’ training, conducting trustable pre-employment checks, providing a safe and efficient Helper recruitment platform, as well as assisting Employers to comply with legislation and legalities involved in the administration of the working relationship.
Our vision is to become South Africa’s #1 agency of reference where professional Helpers are trained and placed into dignifying jobs where they’ll make a difference by serving South African homes & businesses excellently with love & care.
OUR Story
I once found myself in a situation where my domestic Helper quit without notice just a couple of days before I had my third baby; at the time I had a 4 years old boy and an 18 months, old baby.
With little time on hand, I struggled to find a reliable and experienced Helper that could be hired fairly quickly, at a reasonable placement fee; someone that was already vetted so I wouldn’t have to worry about the safety of my young family.
That was simply impossible! In my search, I realized there were many other domestic employers, who were also finding it difficult to find professional Helpers conveniently.
That is when I decided one day, I would start my own agency and solve this problem.
In 2019, two years later, after an extensive analysis of the domestic and private hospitality industries, Smart Helpers Center was established to bring a professional, excellent, and convenient solution to the hospitality staffing problems that South African homes and businesses face.
